HITACHI ENERGY INDIA TO INVEST ₹2,000 CR IN NEW TRANSFORMER PLANT 🏭
• 💰 To invest around ₹2,000 crore in a new Large Power Transformer (LPT) factory at Vadodara, Gujarat • 🇮🇳 Investment aimed at strengthening India's power transmission infrastructure and supporting the Make in India initiative • ⚡ New facility to cater to rising demand from grid expansion, renewable energy, AI data centres and industrial electrification • 🏗️ Factory is expected to be completed by FY28 • 🔌 Will manufacture power transformers for high-voltage transmission, HVDC, power generation and large industrial applications • 📈 Expansion complements Hitachi Energy's existing transformer manufacturing footprint in India 🟢 Impact: Positive (Major capacity expansion strengthens growth visibility and positions the company to benefit from India's power and data centre capex cycle)
