GOVT RESTRICTS BULK DIESEL & PETROL PURCHASES FROM RETAIL OUTLETS

• 🚫 Institutional, industrial and commercial customers can no longer procure petrol (MS) or diesel (HSD) from retail fuel stations • 🏭 Such consumers must source fuel only through their own authorized consumer pumps • 🚚 Retail outlets can dispense diesel only into vehicle tanks or PESO-approved containers • 📦 HSD sales through approved containers capped at 200 litres per customer/vehicle per day and cannot be resold • ⏳ Restrictions will remain in force for an initial period of up to 90 days, unless revoked earlier • ⚖️ Government says the move is aimed at ensuring equitable fuel availability, preventing diversion, hoarding and black marketing 🟢 Impact: Positive for OMCs (Better control over fuel distribution and reduced chances of diversion/misuse of subsidized supply channels.)
