• Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited (SMEL) acquired 26% equity share capital in Emerge Green Power Private Limited (EGPPL) • The acquisition involved allotment of 26,000 equity shares of EGPPL to SMEL, resulting in SMEL holding 26% equity shares • The transaction cost is ₹75,01,260/-, paid in a single tranche via RTGS • EGPPL is an Indian company incorporated on February 17, 2025, with the objective of setting up and operating a captive generating plant for electricity • The strategic investment enables SMEL to qualify as a captive user, procuring solar power at a preferential tariff to reduce energy costs • The acquisition is expected to reduce dependence on grid power, contribute to environmental goals, and improve EBITDA margins
