TATA COMMUNICATIONS : SIGNS JDA FOR NEW DIGITAL CORRIDOR INFRASTRUCTURE WORTH OVER RS 150 CRORE
• Tata Communications will strengthen connectivity solutions between the emerging Al hubs of Mumbai and Chennai in India and Singapore. • Investments are aimed at addressing the growing bandwidth and Al-driven data demands of enterprises across Asia. • Enhancements include integrating a new subsea cable system between Mumbai & Singapore and a new subsea cable system connecting Chennai to Singapore. • The India-Singapore subsea route is set to become one of the world's most critical digital corridors. • Investment includes USD 63 million for MIST in FY 2027 and USD 89 million for Project CS from FY 2027 till FY 2031. • The total investment in the new subsea cable systems is estimated to be approximately Rs 150 crore (USD 152 million). Impact: Strategic investments to enhance digital corridor infrastructure and cater to growing data demands
