POWERGRID : ACQUIRES WR ER PART A POWER TRANSMISSION LIMITED FOR RS 18.62 CR
• Power Grid Corporation of India has acquired WR ER Part A Power Transmission Limited, a project SPV for an Inter-State Transmission system. • The acquisition was made pursuant to being selected as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding. • The project involves sub-stations in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, and transmission lines across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. • The target entity, WR ER Part A Power Transmission Limited, was acquired for an aggregate value of about ₹18.62 Crore, including 50,000 equity shares at par and assets/liabilities as of the acquisition date (30.06.2026). • POWERGRID has acquired 100% shareholding/control in the entity. • WR ER Part A Power Transmission Limited is engaged in the transmission of power business and was incorporated on 06.11.2025; it is yet to commence commercial operations.
