JSW STEEL : COMMENCES WORK ON RAYALASEEMA STEEL PROJECT WORTH OVER RS 16,350 CR
• JSW Steel announced commencement of development activities for its integrated steel project in Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh. • The project involves setting up a 2 Million Tonne Steel Plant by JSW Rayalaseema Steel Ltd, a 100% subsidiary. • Phase 1 investment of ₹4,500 crore for a 1-MTPA plant, followed by Phase 2 with an additional ₹11,850 crore to expand capacity to 2 MTPA. • Total project investment is ₹16,350 crore. • The project will leverage advanced EAF technology, using recycled scrap and DRI, focusing on operational efficiency and low carbon steel. • The state government is creating a strong ecosystem for manufacturing and investment-led growth in Andhra Pradesh.
