HCL INFOSYSTEMS LTD. : APPEAL FILED AGAINST CESTAT ORDER BY PRINCIPAL COMMISSIONER
• The Principal Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Noida has preferred an appeal before the Hon'ble Allahabad High Court against the order passed by the Hon'ble CESTAT, Allahabad. • The CESTAT, Allahabad had earlier allowed the appeal filed by the Company and set aside the Order-In-Original dated March 10th, 2021, which imposed a demand of ₹312.34 Crores plus interest and penalty. • The matter is presently at the admission stage before the Hon'ble High Court, and no interim order has been passed. • The Company believes it has a strong case on merits and will continue to take all necessary legal steps. Impact: Neutral (Legal appeal filed by tax authorities against a favorable order; no interim order passed yet.)
