POWERGRID : WINS RS 823 CR ORDER FOR TRANSMISSION PROJECT
• Power Grid Corporation of India Limited declared successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding for transmission system for integration of power from RE projects in Jam Khambhaliya REZ in Gujarat - Phase II (5500MW) and Jamnagar Phase-I (1000 MW). • The project will be established on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. • Discovered tariff is Rs. 822.91 crore per annum. • Letter of Intent (Lol) received on 21st August, 2026. • Project involves establishment of new GIS substation at Kalyanpur (Gujarat) along with ICT augmentation and bay extension works at under-construction substations in Gujarat, and construction of 765 kV transmission lines.
