GODAVARI BIOREFINERIES LTD : RECEIVES SHOW CAUSE NOTICE FROM GST AUTHORITIES
• Received show cause notice from Assistant Commissioner of Central GST, Audit, Belgavi, Karnataka. • Notice pertains to alleged non-payment of GST on supply of ENA for period 2021-22 to October 2024. • The company had supplied ENA to Karnataka State Beverages Corporation Ltd. for alcoholic liquor manufacture, treating it as 'exempted supply'. • Total GST demand is approximately ₹17.02 crore (CGST ₹8.51 crore, SGST ₹8.51 crore). • The company is examining the notice and will take appropriate legal steps.
