COROMANDEL INTERNATIONAL : DHAKSHA EXPANDS MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES WITH NEW FACILITY
• Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, a subsidiary of Coromandel International, inaugurated its new manufacturing facility at Aymicheri region in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. • The facility aims to strengthen India's indigenous drone manufacturing capabilities in agriculture, defence and enterprise. • It will support development of larger and complex programmes and enhance indigenisation of critical technologies. • Dhaksha also launched two new agricultural drone models: DH Agrigator E10 Prime and DH Agrigator E10 Eco. • The facility will also support Dhaksha's growing defence portfolio, including surveillance and logistics applications. • It will act as a platform for collaboration across the drone value chain, accelerating development of an integrated drone manufacturing ecosystem. • Impact: Positive (Expansion of manufacturing capabilities in the drone sector, aligning with 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.)
