TATA STEEL : COURT QUASHES DEMAND LETTERS WORTH OVER RS 4300 CR
• Hon'ble High Court of Orissa at Cuttack quashed demand letters dated July 3, 2025 and October 3, 2025, for ₹1902.72 Cr and ₹2410.90 Cr respectively. • The demand letters pertained to alleged shortfall in minerals dispatch from the Sukinda Chromite Block. • State of Odisha has filed a Special Leave Petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. • Hon'ble Supreme Court has issued notice of hearing to Tata Steel Limited, returnable on October 5, 2026.
