POWERGRID : ACQUIRES 100% EQUITY OF FATEHGARH II TRANSMISSION LIMITED

• POWERGRID has acquired Fatehgarh II Transmission Limited, selected as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding. • The project involves installation of 2 Synchronous Condensers (SynCon) units at Fatehgarh-II PS on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. • The entity was acquired for an aggregate value of about ₹19.11 Cr, including 10,000 equity shares at par, along with assets and liabilities. • Fatehgarh II Transmission Limited was incorporated on 06.05.2026 and is yet to commence commercial operations. • POWERGRID has acquired 100% shareholding in the entity.
