COAL INDIA: AUGUST COAL SUPPLIES RISE 5.5% TO 60.60 MN TONNES

• CIL supplied 60.60 million tonnes (MT) in August FY27 vs 57.40 MT last year. • Power sector supplies grew 4.5% to 48.46 MT. • Non-regulated sector supplies rose 9.6% to 12.12 MT. • Total supplies in first five months of FY27 reached 322.90 MT, up 6.70%. • Company liquidated 55 MT of pithead coal stocks in the period. • CIL has 76 MT of coal in inventory, sufficient for coming months. • Company preparing to ramp up production and supplies as rains recede. Impact: Higher supplies support power generation needs.
