TITAGARH RAIL SYSTEMS : WINS ₹24,000 CRORE ORDER FOR VANDE BHARAT TRAINSETS

• Titagarh Rail Systems and BHEL signed an agreement for long-term maintenance of Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets. • The agreement is part of a ₹24,000 crore contract for the manufacture and supply of 80 Vande Bharat sleeper trainsets, along with maintenance for 35 years. • TRSL and BHEL executed a Joint Venture Agreement for establishing a Joint Venture Company for maintenance, with 50% shareholding each. • The signing reinforces the long-term nature of the TRSL-BHEL partnership and focuses on lifecycle-based support for advanced passenger rail systems. • The Vande Bharat sleeper project aims to enhance travel experience with modern design, passenger comfort, and advanced technology.
