RR KABEL LTD: USHA MARTIN STEP-DOWN SUBSIDIARY ACQUIRES 100% BUSINESS UNDERTAKING OF U M CABLES LIMITED
• RR Kabel Ltd will acquire the business undertaking of U M Cables Limited (UMCL) via slump sale for Rs 77 crore. • UMCL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Usha Martin Limited, manufactures and sells Optical Fibre and related Cables. • The acquisition is part of RR Kabel's strategy to enter the Optical Fibre Cable segment and expand its presence in the communication cable sector.
