JSW ENERGY: SECURES TURBINE-GENERATORS FOR SALBONI THERMAL PROJECT
• JSW Thermal Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, has contracted with Toshiba JSW for two 800 MW steam turbine generators for Phase II of the Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal. • This order completes the placement of turbine-generator equipment orders for the entire 3,200 MW Salboni Thermal Power Project. • Phase I orders for 2 x 800 MW units were previously placed. • The turbine-generator package will be manufactured and supplied in line with the project's construction schedule. • Sourcing key equipment through an associate company aims to enhance supply-chain certainty and reduce execution risks.
