RR KABEL : ACQUIRES UM CABLES' OPTICAL FIBRE CABLE BUSINESS

• R R Kabel Limited will acquire the business undertaking of U M Cables Limited ("UMCL"), a subsidiary of Usha Martin Limited • The acquisition is on a slump sale basis for a lump-sum cash consideration of ₹77 crore • This marks RR Kabel's entry into the Optical Fibre Cable ("OFC") segment and expands its communication cables market presence • The acquisition provides an established operating platform with ready manufacturing assets and a demonstrated track record • Rajesh Kabra, Joint Managing Director, stated the acquisition is a strategic step to expand RR Kabel's presence in the communication infrastructure space
