GOCL CORP : NCLAT SETS ASIDE NCLT ORDER DISMISSING MERGER SCHEME
• NCLAT allowed appeal and set aside order dated July 30, 2026 of NCLT Amravati Bench. • NCLT order had dismissed the first motion company scheme application for merger by absorption of Hinduja National Power Corporation Limited into GOCL Corporation Limited. • NCLAT directed NCLT to appoint Chairman and Scrutinizers for meetings, fix remuneration, and prescribe schedule within one week. • NCLAT observed NCLT's first motion stage considerations were premature and that requisite observations from stock exchanges/SEBI were received in May 2026. • First motion scheme application was filed on June 22, 2026.
