SOM DISTILLERIES AND BREWERIES LIMITED : JUDGEMENT RECEIVED BY HON'BLE HIGH COURT OF MADHYA PRADESH

• The Hon'ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh has quashed the order rejecting the Company's applications for renewal of its excise licenses. • The Hon'ble Court has directed renewal of all the Company's manufacturing licenses within 15 days. • The Hon'ble High Court has awarded costs of ₹1 lakh payable to the Company by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. • The Hon'ble Court has also ordered and preserved the Company's right to pursue damages/losses arising from the period of operational closure. • This order is expected to have a positive impact on the financial position of the company, enabling resumption of operations and sales from its Bhopal plant.
