POWERGRID : WINS RS 430.67 CR TBCB ORDER
• Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has been declared successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for the "Common Transmission System for evacuation of power from Lakadia (Phase-II: 7.5GW), Jam Khambhaliya (Phase-II: 5.5GW) and Jamnagar (Phase-I: 1GW) - Part-C" project. • The project is on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. • Annual transmission charges quoted are Rs. 430.67 Crore. • The Letter of Intent (LoI) was received on September 25, 2026. • The project involves establishing a new 765/400/220 kV Alephata Sub-station in Maharashtra and transmission lines. • With this project, POWERGRID has secured nine transmission system projects under TBCB in FY 2026-27 till date, with cumulative Annual Transmission Charges of Rs. 7,664.08 Crore.
