NTPC LTD : EXPANDS SOLAR CAPACITY BY 153.94 MW
• NTPC's step-down subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has declared the commercial operation of the second and third parts of the Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. • The capacity commissioned comprises 73.06 MW and 80.88 MW respectively, part of a larger 650 MW solar component under the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project. • The declaration is effective from October 1, 2026. • This brings NTPC group's total installed capacity to 91,456 MW and commercial capacity to 90,376 MW. Impact: Expansion in renewable energy capacity.
