THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD APPOINTS NEW CHAIRMAN CUM MANAGING DIRECTOR

• Ministry of Finance has appointed Ms. Lavanya R Mundayur as Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD) of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. • Appointment is effective from the date of assumption of charge until her superannuation on May 31, 2029, or until further orders. • Ms. Mundayur has assumed charge from September 30, 2026. • Mr. S Sivasankar ceases to hold the additional charge of CMD as of September 30, 2026. • Ms. Mundayur currently serves as CMD of Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. and has over three decades of insurance sector experience.
