• New centre to equip city's youth with future-ready skills and create pathways to sustainable livelihoods. • Located at Smile Foundation STeP Centre in Santoshpur, Kolkata, the centre will offer training in digital technologies, AI, retail, and beauty & wellness. • 'Ujjwal Kal' initiative focuses on strengthening livelihoods through youth upskilling, women empowerment and community development. • The programme targets individuals aged 18-28, with young women accounting for nearly 85% of participants. • Aim is to achieve 50-55% of graduates to secure direct employment or pursue self-employment opportunities.
