WEWORK INDIA MANAGEMENT LIMITED: RECEIVES SHOW CAUSE NOTICE FROM CGST MUMBAI EAST

• Company received a show cause cum demand notice dated September 29, 2026, from the Office of the Principal Commissioner of CGST & CX, Mumbai East. • The notice pertains to the period April 2021 to March 2023, relating to alleged excess availment and utilization of Input Tax Credit (ITC). • The alleged difference is between ITC claimed in Annual Return (FORM GSTR-9) and ITC reflected in audited financial statements. • Disallowance and recovery of ITC amounting to ₹11,01,28,801 is proposed, including IGST, CGST, and SGST components. • Applicable interest and penalty are also sought under relevant sections of the GST Acts. • The company believes the notice was issued without adequately considering the merits and is in the process of submitting a detailed response. • Company does not envisage any material impact on its financials at this stage.
