ULTRATECH CEMENT : BECOMES FIRST CEMENT COMPANY TO SURPASS 2 GW GREEN ENERGY CAPACITY

• UltraTech Cement commissioned 116.55 MW of wind capacity in Rajasthan and 10 MW of Waste Heat Recovery System capacity in Karnataka. • This brings its cumulative green energy capacity to 2,024 MW, the first cement company in India to cross 2 GW for captive use. • The capacity comprises 1,580 MW of renewable energy and 444 MW of WHRS, meeting about 48% of current power requirements. • Company aims to increase green energy share to 85% by 2030 and 100% by 2050 as a member of RE100.
