GAIL APPOINTS NEW GOVERNMENT NOMINEE DIRECTOR

• Shri Rajeev Kumar appointed as Government Nominee Director with effect from October 1, 2026. • He is an Indian Statistical Service officer of the 2006 batch and currently the Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. • His responsibilities include project monitoring, implementation of PM GatiShakti for petroleum sector infrastructure, CSR activities of CPSEs, and dissemination of statistics on petroleum and natural gas. • Prior roles include the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation and the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence & Statistics. • He holds a Master's in Statistics from Delhi University and has about two decades of experience in economics and the social sector. • He has no inter-se relation with other Directors and is not debarred from holding the office of Director.
