IZMO MICQROSYSYSTEMS AND IIT MADRAS ENTER PHASE II OF RS 99.94 CR MEITY-SANCTIONED SILICON PHOTONICS PROGRAM

• Izmo Limited's semiconductor subsidiary, izmo Microsystems Pvt. Ltd., entered into an MoU with IIT Madras for Phase II of the Centre for Programmable Photonic Integrated Circuits and Systems (CPPICS). • The Phase II program, titled Silicon Photonics Enabled Cutting-edge Technology Research and Applications (SPECTRA), is sanctioned by MeitY with a total outlay of ₹99.94 crore. • izmo Microsystems will contribute ₹2.40 crore cash and in-kind, while MeitY contributes ₹97.54 crore. • CPPICS Phase II aims to advance silicon photonics technologies towards commercially deployable products. Impact: Strengthens company's involvement in advanced semiconductor technology and a key government research program.
