KPIL : GST APPEAL PARTIALLY ALLOWED, PENALTY CUT TO RS 14 L

Tax demand of ₹1.83 Cr plus interest was raised for FY 2017-18 to FY 2019-20 on alleged excess ITC claim and GSTR-3B/2A mismatch. Appellate order reduced the tax and interest demand and cut penalty to ₹14 L (from ₹21 L); company sees no significant impact and will file a further appeal.
