GUJARAT ENERGY : PAYS RECORD RS 324 CR DIVIDEND TO GUJARAT GOVT
• Gujarat Energy (erstwhile Gujarat Gas) paid ₹324 Cr dividend to Government of Gujarat for FY 2025-26, highest ever by any single state PSU to Gujarat govt in one financial year. • Scheme of Amalgamation & Arrangement involving GSPC Group effective 1 May 2026; GSPC amalgamated into Gujarat Gas, which was rechristened Gujarat Energy. • Gas Transmission Business demerged to GSPL Transmission Limited; GoG stake in Gujarat Energy rose from ~6% pre-scheme to ~38% post-scheme. • GSPL Transmission also paid ₹60.67 Cr dividend to GoG for FY 25-26; GEL and GTL together paid ₹384.67 Cr for the year. • Prior to scheme, total dividend payout by Gujarat Gas to GoG during FY 22-23 to FY 24-25 aggregated ~₹81.55 Cr. • For FY25-26, GoG held 36.40 Cr shares in GEL with dividend per share of ₹8.90; GTL paid ₹5/share on 12.13 Cr shares.
