ZYDUSLIFE : SIGNS SRI LANKA PHARMA PLANT AGREEMENT FOR $20 MN
• Zydus Sunshine Lifesciences (Pvt) Ltd, proposed JV between Zydus Lifesciences and Sunshine Healthcare, signed agreement with Board of Investment of Sri Lanka on 13 October 2026 • Facility to be set up in the BOI zone in Horana, Sri Lanka, with phased investment of over USD 20 million • Plant to be developed on nearly four acres; commercial operations expected to commence in 2028 subject to project timelines and regulatory approvals • First phase to manufacture oral solid dosage forms for the Sri Lankan market • Investment supports Zydus's international presence and access to quality medicines; local manufacturing expected to strengthen supply chain resilience
