VRAJ : RECEIVES FRESH TOR FROM MOEF&CC FOR GREENFIELD STEEL PLANT

• MoEF&CC granted fresh Standard Terms of Reference (ToR) on October 14, 2026 for the company's greenfield steel plant at Raipur, Chhattisgarh • Proposed complex includes pelletization plant 0.9 Mtpa, coal gasifier for pellet plant (1x18,750 m3/hr) and 4x350 TPD DRI kilns (4,62,000 Tpa) • Also includes induction furnaces (4,12,500 Tpa), rolling mills for TMT bars/structural steel (3,92,700 Tpa), coal washery unit (12,00,000 Tpa) and 2x9 MVA submerged electric arc furnace • Environmental clearance to facilitate development and implementation of the greenfield steel plant project • Company to apply for final EC after completion of EIA study and public consultation; final EC once granted valid for 10 years
