RELTD : OPENS ELECTRIC HEAVY-DUTY CV COMPLEX AT TALEGAON, PART OF RS 1,000 CR INVESTMENT

• Jointly controlled entity Energy In Motion Ltd (EIM) inaugurated an electric heavy-duty commercial vehicle complex at village Ambi, Talegaon, Pune • Complex integrates an electric heavy commercial vehicle assembly facility, a lithium-ion battery pack assembly factory and an independent battery testing laboratory • Initial capacity of 5,000 vehicles/shift/year; this is the first phase of EIM's ₹1,000 Cr investment in Maharashtra • Expected to create over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs plus work opportunities in design, R&D and IT • EIM is building nationwide battery swapping and charging infrastructure along major highways, ports and industrial complexes, with megawatt-scale hubs able to swap batteries in under 7 minutes • Technology partners include BAIC Foton Motor for electric heavy vehicles, CATL for batteries and Shanghai Enneagon Energy Technology for robotic battery swapping systems
