• Energy in Motion Ltd (EIM) inaugurated an integrated electric heavy-duty commercial vehicle facility at Talegaon, Pune. • Investment: ₹1,000 Cr planned investment under an MoU with Maharashtra Government. • Facility: Electric truck manufacturing, lithium-ion battery pack assembly and independent battery testing laboratory. • Employment: Expected to create over 2,000 direct and indirect jobs. • Technology Partners: BAIC Foton Motor for electric heavy vehicles and Amperex Technology for battery technology. • Expansion Plans: Developing nationwide battery-swapping and charging infrastructure for commercial EVs. • Battery Swapping: Targets battery swaps in under 7 minutes for compatible vehicles.
