TATACOMM : SPANISH COURT ANNULS VAT DEMAND AND PENALTY AGAINST TC SPAIN

• National Court of Spain ruled in favour of Tata Communications (Spain) S.L. (TC Spain), a subsidiary of Tata Communications • Court annulled the TEAC resolution, including the VAT demand and corresponding penalty imposed by the Spanish Tax Agency • Earlier demand was EUR 15,505,607.73 towards VAT and interest, plus a penalty of EUR 18,102,272.48 • Litigation related to refund of input VAT claimed by TC Spain; judgment remains subject to appellate remedies and further legal or administrative processes
