CG POWER Q2: ANNOUNCES ₹324.76 CR BROWNFIELD CAPEX TO EXPAND SWITCHGEAR CAPACITY
• Total Capex: ₹324.76 Cr investment across OIP bushings, EHV circuit breakers and GIS manufacturing facilities • OIP Capacity Expansion: ₹300 Cr investment to add 4,236 equivalent units annually, increasing total capacity to 11,436 units • OIP Timeline: Expansion covering bushings and instrument transformers up to 800 kV, expected within 30–36 months • EHV Circuit Breakers: ₹15.31 Cr investment to add 3,600 units annually, increasing capacity to 10,800 units within 6–9 months • GIS Expansion: Additional ₹9.45 Cr investment, raising total project capex to ₹44.62 Cr from ₹35.17 Cr • GIS Capacity: Proposed addition of 240 equivalent bays against existing capacity of 228 equivalent bays • Capacity Utilisation: OIP operating at 94%, EHV circuit breakers at 83% and GIS at 84%, indicating high utilisation across facilities • Demand Outlook: Expansion driven by increasing order pipeline, capacity constraints and growing domestic and export demand for EHV products • Funding: Projects to be financed through internal accruals and equity/QIP
