TATACHEM : KENYA HIGH COURT SAYS NO JURISDICTION IN MAGADI DISPUTE

• High Court of Kenya order dated October 23, 2026 holds the court has no jurisdiction on the dispute and cannot take further steps • Tata Chemicals Magadi (TCML), the Kenyan subsidiary, is examining the order and will take legal and all other necessary steps • Committee led by the Principal Secretary for Mining and TCML's CEO is doing a detailed technical review and will report to the Cabinet Secretary • Review to help establish a sustainable framework for responsible mining, value addition, community development and partnerships • Follows the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs notice dated July 28, 2026 to TCML
