ORCHID PHARMA : SIGNS LATAM LICENSING DEAL FOR $80 MN
• Licensing and supply agreement with Laboratorio Libra S.A. covering Exblifep (cefepime/enmetazobactam) across nine Latin American markets • Libra gets exclusive rights to register, import and market Exblifep in Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay • Orchid manufactures and supplies the finished dosage form for these markets • Partnership expected to represent a potential commercial opportunity of about USD 80 million over the first 10 years, based on projected demand • Commercialization in each market is subject to approval by the relevant national regulatory authority • Exblifep holds US FDA and EMA approvals and is the first NCE invented by an Indian pharma company to secure both; indicated for cUTI and HAP/VAP
