ASTER DM ; Kerala government has appointed a committee to examine the excessive cost of treatment in private hospitals and submit recommendations.

The committee is chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Health Department. The Health Department is also moving to introduce a bill in the Assembly to prevent excessive charges for surgeries, room rent and diagnosis.
