ATHER ENERGY Q2: APPROVES ₹122 CR CAPACITY EXPANSION; ANNUAL PRODUCTION CAPACITY TO REACH 11.45 LAKH UNITS
• Total Capex: Investment of up to ₹122 Cr to expand manufacturing capacity at Hosur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facilities • Hosur Expansion: ₹58 Cr investment to add 75,000 units annually, increasing capacity to 4.95 lakh units • Hosur Timeline: Additional manufacturing capacity expected to be ready by December 2026 • Factory 3.0 Expansion: ₹64 Cr investment to add 1.50 lakh units annually at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra • Factory 3.0 Capacity: Planned capacity to increase to 6.50 lakh units annually from 5 lakh units under construction • Execution Timeline: Factory 3.0 capacity addition expected to be completed by Q2 FY28 • Battery Manufacturing: Hosur investment includes ₹53 Cr for a new battery line, expected to be completed by Q3 FY28 • Capacity Utilisation: Existing Hosur facility operating at 98% utilisation during peak production • Funding: Expansion to be financed through a combination of debt and internal accruals • Growth Outlook: Combined planned annual production capacity to reach 11.45 lakh units, supporting future electric two-wheeler demand
