JISL : SIGNS DEAL FOR UP TO 19,000 TONNES BIOCHAR CREDITS
• Agreement with Supercritical, a carbon removal marketplace, for biochar carbon removal credits covering up to 19,000 tonnes for 2026 and 2027 • Credits generated from the company's industrial biochar facility in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, which has been producing since early 2026 • Facility converts agricultural and food processing residues into biochar via gasification, locking carbon in soil for centuries • Output fully used internally: syngas replaces fossil fuel at industrial facilities, biochar returns to farmers as soil amendment • Project undergoing verification through Puro.earth, with an independent BeZero Carbon rating underway • Supercritical's H2 2026 report: 81% of high-quality 2026 biochar supply was already committed by July, three months earlier than in 2025
