COAL INDIA : OCT SWMA E-AUCTION ALLOCATION AT 118 LAKH TONNES
• Oct 2026 SWMA e-auction: 129.24 lakh tonnes offered, 118.00 lakh tonnes allocated (91%) • Allocated coal fetched 140% above notified price in Oct 2026 • Subsidiary-wise Oct allocation: MCL 43.12 lakh tonnes, SECL 27.25 lakh tonnes, CCL 23.49 lakh tonnes • FY27 Apr-Oct cumulative: 1,551.10 lakh tonnes offered, 689.04 lakh tonnes allocated (44%) • Cumulative Apr-Oct premium over notified price at 68%; WCL 76%, SECL 71%, CCL 45% • ECL saw the sharpest gap, with only 28% of offered volume allocated in Apr-Oct Impact: Neutral (strong October premium and 91% allocation offset by weak 44% cumulative allocation for Apr-Oct)
