COAL INDIA : OCTOBER COAL SUPPLIES HIT ALL-TIME HIGH OF 70.3 MT
Total coal supplies up 19% (YOY) from 59.2 MT in October FY26; previous monthly record 69.4 MT in March 2026. Power sector supplies at 57.1 MT, up 19% (YOY) v 48 MT, highest ever; prior high 56.5 MT in May 2024. October coal production 67.2 MT, up ~19% (YOY) v 56.38 MT and above the previous October high of 62.47 MT. Average power-sector rake loading 310 rakes per day, the highest-ever monthly average, surpassing 302.8 in March 2025. MCL crossed the 20 MT monthly supply mark for the first time in October.
