VEDANTA : SAYS ODISHA LAND CANCELLATION NOT MATERIAL TO OPERATIONS

• Clarifies Business Standard report dated Nov 2 on Odisha cancelling 28.8 acres of land allotted to Vedanta over alleged non-utilisation • Land comprises non-contiguous parcels representing less than 1% of total land holding of the Jharsuguda aluminium operations • Post demerger, parcels form part of the aluminium undertaking transferred to Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited (VAML) • Leasehold rights continue in Vedanta Limited's name pending transfer/endorsement of lease deeds in favour of VAML • Company says it has replied to IDCO correspondence and steps are being taken on resumption/re-allotment of the land
