SYMBIOTEC : SIGNS 10-YEAR TAKE-OR-PAY CDMO AGREEMENT WITH EUROPEAN ALTERNATIVE PROTEIN INNOVATOR
• 10-year take-or-pay contract development and manufacturing agreement reserves dedicated capacity for the partner at Symbiotec's Ujjain campus for the full term • Production begins at the existing Ujjain biomanufacturing campus, which has four 100 kilolitre (kL) fermenters, modular downstream processing and integrated QA/QC • A new dedicated plant of several hundred thousand litres of fermentation capacity to follow, with contracted expansion options reserved for the partner taking the programme into the millions of litres • Partner is a leading European alternative protein innovator; agreement is international and for fermentation-based alternative protein • Consideration details not disclosed due to confidentiality obligations
