ZYDUS : REPORTS POSITIVE PHASE 2B MASH DATA FOR SAROGLITAZAR
• Resolution of steatohepatitis without worsening fibrosis in 39.1% of patients on saroglitazar 4 mg and 32.4% on 2 mg vs 13.7% on placebo after 52 weeks • Treatment difference vs placebo of 24.9% for 4 mg (P=0.002) and 16.5% for 2 mg (P=0.033) • Fibrosis improvement of at least one stage without NAS worsening was 34.8% vs 24.6% for 4 mg, not statistically significant; 2 mg at 22.8% • 4 mg showed favorable non-invasive fibrosis markers: Pro-C3 −9.50 ng/mL, APRI −0.35, FIB-4 −0.30 and ADAPT −0.53 • Trial enrolled 189 adults with MASH and F2–F3 fibrosis across Argentina, Turkey and the US; late-breaking oral presentation at AASLD 2026 • Saroglitazar was generally well tolerated, without significant weight gain or a drug-induced liver injury signal
