Kotak Mahindra Bank to Acquire Deutsche Bank India's Retail, Wealth Business for ₹282 Crore
Kotak Mahindra Bank will acquire Deutsche Bank's India retail banking, affluent private banking and wealth management business for ₹282 crore. The acquisition includes ₹29,000 crore in loans, ₹16,000 crore in deposits, ₹10,500 crore in assets under management, around 1.5 lakh customers, and nearly 1,000 employees. The transaction, expected to close by September 2027 subject to regulatory approvals, will significantly strengthen Kotak's retail and wealth management franchise in India.
