Russia Imports Gasoline From India as Ukraine Strikes Trigger Fuel Shortages

Russia has begun importing gasoline from India to tackle severe fuel shortages caused by repeated Ukrainian drone attacks on its refineries and energy infrastructure. Industry sources said at least 60,000 metric tonnes of gasoline have already been shipped from India, with two tankers carrying 30,000–40,000 tonnes each. Moscow is targeting imports of around 400,000 tonnes per month from India and other suppliers, including Belarus, as it battles rationing, record fuel prices and refinery disruptions across several regions.
