Indonesia to Buy Astra Missiles, Expand BrahMos Arsenal After Modi–Prabowo Talks
India and Indonesia deepened defence ties after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Prabowo Subianto, with Jakarta set to import India's Astra beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles and expand its BrahMos supersonic cruise missile inventory. The leaders also agreed to strengthen cooperation in maritime security, defence manufacturing and strategic technologies. Indonesia is expected to procure additional BrahMos batteries after an initial coastal defence order, marking another major boost for India's growing defence exports and Indo-Pacific strategic partnership.
