Bank of India flags Future Enterprises’ ₹575.40 crore account as fraud
Bank of India said on October 12 that it had classified Future Enterprises Ltd’s non-performing account, with outstanding dues of ₹575.40 crore, as fraud and reported it to the Reserve Bank of India. The bank disclosed that it had already made provisions for the full ₹575.40 crore exposure, so the entire amount was covered in its books. The announcement was made in a stock exchange filing.
