Zydus Lifesciences Signs Sri Lanka Deal for $20 Million-Plus Pharma Manufacturing Plant
Zydus Lifesciences’ joint venture with Sunshine Healthcare has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka’s Board of Investment to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Horana. The project involves phased investment exceeding $20 million across nearly four acres, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2028, subject to approvals. Initially, the plant will manufacture oral solid dosage medicines for the Sri Lankan market. The facility aims to expand Zydus’ international presence and strengthen local medicine supply chains.
